Chesapeake Defeats Ironton to Win SJI Gold Bracket

Chesapeake shot 23-26 from the free throw line for an 88.5%. It kept Ironton from playing the foul game successfully as time was starting to run out.
In the Gold Bracket consolation game Spring Valley won over Cabell Midland 47-29.
Named to the 2011 SJI All-Tournament Basketball Team were Cole Shull from Cabell Midland, Eli Parker from Spring Valley, Colin Kennedy and Nathan Copley from Chesapeake, Zac Carter and Trey Fletcher from Ironton. Most Valuable player was awarded to Austin McMaster from Chesapeake.
