McConaughey Tweets "Long Way from 1971..."

Can you believe it's been nearly nine years since Hollywood came to Huntington to shoot three weeks of "We are Marshall." Since then, Matthew McConaughey has lumped acting accolades --- the Academy Award --- for his portrayal of Ron Woodroof in "Dallas Buyers Club."  On Tuesday, Dec. 23, McConaughey sent out a tweet that supported Team Cato.

"Marshall thundering herd 12-1 take on NIU tonight- long way from 1971- jklivin and winnin Herd."

Since playing Jack Lengyel, the method actor's recent roles have included Cooper from "Interstellar," Mark Hanna in "Wolf of Wall Street," and upcoming, Arthur Brennan in "The Sea of Trees." He's also played Rustin "Rust" Cohle in TV's "True Detective," for which he is also an executive producer.
