Unemployment Modernization and Broadband Investment: Opportunities for the 2011 West Virginia Legislature

The West Virginia Center on Budget and Policy released two policy briefs today on issues up for consideration during the 2011 Legislative Session.

The briefs, one on unemployment modernization, the other on broadband investment, include policy recommendations for state legislators. Time is of the essence for West Virginia to seize the opportunity to use federal funds to both modernize its unemployment insurance system and expand access statewide to high-speed Internet.
