HAVE YOU HERD?
Ryan Taylor (Indianapolis) posted his league-leading 14th double-double in an 86-73 loss for Marshall at Charlotte to end regular-season play on Saturday evening at Halton Arena. Taylor totaled 13 points and 10 rebounds while classmate Austin Loop (South Webster, Ohio) topped the Herd’s scoring column with 19 points.

A WIN WOULD…

-          Be Marshall’s second consecutive win in the C-USA Championship First Round

-          Total the most season wins (12) for the Herd since it went 13-19 in 2012-13

TAYLOR EARNS ALL-CONFERENCE THIRD TEAM HONORS
Sophomore Ryan Taylor (Indianapolis) earned third team All-Conference USA honors, the league office announced on Monday. The award is the first of his career. Taylor is the fourth Thundering Herd player in history to earn third-team honors, and the first since Damier Pitts in 2012. Rounding out the group is Mark Patton (2006), Markel Humphrey (2007, ‘08, ‘09) and DeAndre Kane (2011). Last season, Taylor was named to the C-USA All-Freshman Team alongside Kareem Canty.

LOOP NAMED TO C-USA ALL-ACADEMIC TEAM
Sophomore Austin Loop (South Webster, Ohio) was named to the 2015 Conference USA Men’s Basketball All-Academic Team, as it was announced by the league (March 6). The award recognizes athletes for their achievements in the classroom and on the court, as the recipients must hold a minimum 3.2 GPA and are a starter or key reserve for their team. The honor is the first of Loop's career. He holds a 3.6 GPA as a double major in clinical exercise physiology and biomechanics.

SCOUTING THE HILLTOPPERS
Fifth-seeded WKU wrapped up the 2014-15 regular season with a 19-11 overall record and a 12-6 league mark in its inaugural season in C-USA. The Hilltoppers are 8-1 with two championships in their last three conference tournament appearances, having won the Sun Belt Conference Tournament by winning four games in four days in both 2012 and 2013.
