45 Arrests, Thousands of Pils Seized Through May by Huntington Police Task Force

Police Chief Joe Ciccarelli provided a progress report on the Huntington Violent Crime Federal Drug Task Force's work through May 31 of this year during this evening's City Council meeting:

-- 45 arrests (44 felonies)
-- 17 search warrants executed
-- 21 indictments
-- 114 grams crack cocaine seized
-- 1,012 grams marijuana seized
-- 389 grams heroin seized
-- 1,769 pills seized
-- 40 grams Ecstasy seized
-- 82 grams meth seized
-- 28 guns seized
-- 3 vehicles seized
-- $80,000 cash confiscated.

Ciccarelli said the Police Department has also made 24 prostitution arrests this year, two more than all of 2014.
