HUNTINGTON, WV-  The Marshall Artists Series (sponsored by CSX, Steptoe & Johnson, Nelson Mullins, AEP, Brickstreet Insurance, Farrell White and Legg, and NRP)  present rising, comedic star, Anthony Jeselnik for an Evening of Comedy at the Keith Albee Performing Arts Center on Thursday, October 1, 2015 @ 7:30 pm. The host of NBC’s Last Comic Standing is bringing his talents to Huntington, WV for a night of laughs, delighting the audience with his dark comedy and edgy humor.

Devilish Pittsburgh-born comic Anthony Jeselnik is a stand-up, telling smartly constructed near-the-knuckle jokes. He's had his own Comedy Central series, 'The Jeselnik Offensive' (geddit?) which has definitely raised a few eyebrows here and there. You'll find yourself laughing at his so-wrong-they're-right jokes before you even get a chance to wince.

The comedian has found there to be an art to writing and delivering derisive celebrity jokes in an inventive way while avoiding hurting someone's feelings. “You have to do the next level of joke, something people haven't thought about, but you have to use information they know already," Jeselnik said. "I don't worry about going too far as long as it's funny, and it's got to be clever."

Jeselnik’s star has risen rapidly, gaining a huge following while climbing comedy’s ranks. His distinct talent often plays like a one-man roast of society in general, indiscriminately poking fun at anything and everything—from celebrities to death to disaster. Jeselnik doesn't set out to be intentionally offensive with his comedy. He wants to get his audience to laugh at uncomfortable subjects by talking about them in new and different ways.

Jeselnik has become known for his work on Comedy Central roasts of Donald Trump, David Hasselhoff, Roseanne Barr and Charlie Sheen. Anthony has performed on Conan, The Tonight Show, Jimmy Kimmel Live and was the first ever stand-up comic to appear on Late Night With Jimmy Fallon. Anthony has also written for Late Night With Jimmy Fallon and received an Emmy nomination for his work on A Night of Too Many Stars: An Overbooked Concert for Autism Education.

Anthony was named one of Variety’s 10 Comics to Watch in 2008 and one of Comedy Central’s Hot Comics in 2009. In 2010, Anthony released his critically acclaimed debut comedy album, SHAKESPEARE, through Comedy Central Records. After the Comedy Central Roasts of Charlie Sheen, Donald Trump and Roseanne Barr, Anthony released CALIGULA, his first hour long special, to critical acclaim.
