Goodwill to begin Medical Skills Training

HUNTINGTON – Goodwill Industries of KYOWVA will begin its 20-week course in Medical Office Skills Training on Tuesday, January 19, 2016. Class times are Monday through Friday, at 1005 Virginia Ave., Huntington from 9:00 a.m. - 3:15 p.m.

The course offers up to 12 hours of college credit from Mountwest Community and Technical College. Course includes such topics as medical terminology, insurance billing & coding, records management, and Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint 2010.

 

During the last 10 weeks of class, students obtain additional guidance through hands-on training provided by local internship sites. Preparation and payment for certification testing in medical administration is included in the course.
