CHARLESTON — West Virginia Attorney General Patrick Morrisey releases the following statement regarding the layoffs of more than 500 workers at Murray Energy mine sites in northern West Virginia.

“We’re devastated by today’s heartbreaking news regarding the loss of so many coal mining jobs,” Attorney General Morrisey said. “We will continue to do everything in our power to fight the EPA, defeat these illegal and unprecedented regulations in court and level the playing field for 2016 and beyond.”
