Huntington Goodwill Offers Tax Assistance

Updated 2 years ago Edited from a Press Release

Individuals and families have several opportunities to have their taxes completed for free through the Financial $tability Partnership of the River Cities’ Volunteer Income Tax Assistance (VITA) program.

Families with a household income below $62,000 are eligible for free tax preparation and may be eligible for an earned income tax credit of up to $6,143, even if no taxes are owed. You must bring a photo I.D.; a social security card for you, your spouse and all dependents; all W2s, 1099 forms; and any other tax information. There are no exceptions to these requirements.

Goodwill’s Consumer Credit Counseling Service will also be available to pull and review, one-on-one, free credit reports. They will work with customers to understand their credit and find ways to improve it or to even establish credit.
