The McDonald's Tri-State Criterium rolls into downtown Huntington this Saturday for an afternoon of fast-paced racing.

Races start at 3 p.m. with the 60-minute main event beginning at 7:30 p.m. Watch the action from the bleachers along 3rd Avenue in front of Pullman Square or bring a folding chair.

Volunteers are still needed to help ensure pedestrians and cyclists remain safe during the races. To volunteer, contact Race Director Jere Gilpin at jere.mcd@comcast.net or Volunteer Coordinator Sonia Chambers at chuckandsonia1@frontier.com.

Street closures for the event include:
-- 10:30 a.m., 3rd Avenue closed from 8th Street to 10th Street, including 9th Street Plaza.
-- 1 p.m., 4th Avenue closed from 8th Street to 10th Street
