Kane’s 26 Lifts Marshall Over Northwestern State

HUNTINGTON, WV (HNN) – DeAndre Kane scored a career high 26 points as the Marshall Thundering Herd defeated the Northwestern State Demons 83-61 at the Cam Henderson Center.

Kane connected on 10-of-18 shots all from within the three point line and hit on 6-of-9 from the free throw line.

The Herd had a monstrous game on the boards as they outrebounded the Demons 59-30. Yous Mbao led the Herd with 9 boards followed by Dennis Tinnon and Justin Coleman with 8 boards apiece.

Marshall shot 43.5% from the field while limiting Northwestern State to 36.1% on 22-of-61 shooting.

Kane was joined in double figures by Damier Pitts who scored 13 and Dennis Tinnon who scored 10 points.

With the win, Marshall improves to 3-0 while Northwestern State falls to 2-2
