West Virginia American Water Updated Water Tanker Locations for Continued Flood Relief Efforts

CHARLESTON, W.Va.  – West Virginia American Water will continue to provide potable water tankers in areas of Kanawha, Clay and Fayette counties to assist with ongoing flood restoration and clean-up efforts over the weekend. Potable water tankers are available at the following locations:

·        Smith’s Foodfair in Clendenin
·        Corner of Reamer Road and Maywood Road in Clendenin
·        Corner of Lizemore Road and River Haven Road off the Queen Shoals Bridge
·        H.E. White Elementary School in Bomont
·        CVS Pharmacy in Gauley Bridge* (new location)
West Virginia American Water deployed a large potable water tanker to assist Kanawha Falls PSD today after learning of ongoing customer outages related to flood damage to their system. The tanker is stationed in the CVS parking lot along Rt. 60 in Gauley Bridge.

Water service was restored to all West Virginia American Water customers on July 1 and the precautionary boil water advisory for Elkview and Clendenin was lifted on July 6.
