Hundreds of anime and manga fans turned out Friday for the opening day of the 2016 Tsubasacon at the Big Sandy Superstore Arena.

Most of those attending chose a costume.

Tsubasacon continues Saturday, Oct. 1 and Sunday , Oct. 2 with guests, concerts, cosplay judging , panels and meet/greets.

Photos from Saturday's event will be posted late Saturday night, Oct. 1.
