Zombies are coming to Barboursville
Proceeds from this year’s 5k event will benefit, Hire Attire, a Division of Goodwill Industries of KYOWVA Area, Inc., where Goodwill not only dresses men for business success, but also places hundreds into jobs and careers within the local community.
How It Works:
There will be designated ZOMBIE zones throughout the race course for participants to run, walk or crawl through. The course starts by the lake at Barboursville Park and runs out to the bridge, past the soccer fields and then ends back by the lake. Packet pick-up and race-day registration will take place at Picnic Shelter #9, by the parking lot, beginning at 5:30 p.m. Participants are encouraged to dress in costume and glow apparel, as the course will be dark & scary!
Beginning at 5:30 p.m., Brickhouse Cardio Club will be doing a “Zombie warm-up”, including the Thriller Dance, Time Warp form the Rocky Horror Picture Show and many more of your Halloween favorites.
The 5k will be timed by the TSR Timing Group and medals will be awarded to the overall M/F finishers and the top 2 M/F finishers in each age group. There will also be a prize for the best dressed Zombie and Human. For more information and to register, visit The Running Dead info page on TriStateRacer.com.
