Google Executive Freed from Egyptian Prison

CAIRO, EGYPT (HNN) - Wael Ghonim, the Google marketing executive for the Middle East and North Africa, has been freed from an Egyptian jail. He told Egypt’s ON TV network that he had not been tortured.

Although they have protested for the removal of Egyptian President Hosni Mubarak, he stressed that “none of us were breaking anything.” The 27-year-old Cairo native discounted a hero label, instead, he called the heroes those down in the streets.
“We will change the country. All the trash that has been happening must be cleaned,” the Google executive said in the interview
