Strong Second Half Sends Marshall Over Cincinnati

Marshall shot an ice cold 6-of-28(21.4%) including 1-of-9 (11.1%) from behind the three point line in the first half as they held the Bearcats to 10-of-28(35.7%) shooting with 1-of-8(12.5%) three point shooting.
The Herd trailed by as many as 11 points in the first half trailing 21-16 at halftime. They still trailed by 9 points with 13:53 to play. The Cincinnati lead was at 7 with 11:08 left when Marshall outscored the Bearcats 23-6 over the next 8 minutes to lead 49-39. Included in the run were 5 Marshall three pointers 3 of which were hit by Shaw.
Marshall hit on 12-of-27(44.4%) shots in the second half including 6-of-11(54.5%) from behind the three point line. Cincinnati hit on 9-of-29(31%) while hitting on 3-of-10(30%) three pointers.
The Herd out rebounded the Bearcats 4 1-37 and was led by Erica Woods who pulled down 10 boards.
Joining Shaw in double figures was Lateidra Elliot who scored 12 points on 4-of-5 shooting with 2-of-3 three pointers.
