Marshall Women Down Longwood 62-48

HUNTINGTON, WV (HNN) – Lateidra Elliot scored a game-high 14 points to lead the Marshall Thundering Herd over the Longwood Lancers 62-48 before 3,413 fans at the Cam Henderson Center.

With the win, Marshall improves to 7-2 while Longwood falls to 2-7.

For the game the Herd shot 25-of-61(41%) from the field while limiting the Lancers to 16-of-47(34%).

Marshall outrebounded Longwood 44-34 led by Erica Woods 7 rebounds.

Joining Elliot in double figures for the Herd was Chukwuka Ezeigbo and Erica Woods who scored 13 points apiece.
