Marshall Slams High Point 79-59

HUNTINGTON, WV (HNN) – Robert Goff recorded his first career double-double with 10 points and 10 rebounds and Justin Coleman scored a career-high 16 points as the Marshall Thundering Herd defeated the High Point Panthers 79-59 before 5,564 fans at the Cam Henderson Center.

With the win, Marshall improves to 7-2 while High Point falls to 3-7.

For the 9th time in 9 games Marshall outrebounded their opponent, this time 47-35, with 18 coming on the offensive end.

High Point led 24-17 with 7:56 left in the first half but Marshall outscored the Panthers 20-7 over the rest of the half to take a 37-31 halftime lead.

The Herd lead ballooned to 23 points with 10:57 to go in the game 61-38, but the Panthers then went on a 17-2 run to cut the Marshall lead to 63 -55 with 6:27 to go in the game.

Marshall then took control of the game to provide the winning 20 point margin.

Joining Goff and Coleman in double figures was DeAndre Kane who scored 14 and Damier Pitts who scored 11 points.

High Point was led in scoring by Nick Barbour who scored a game-high 22 points.
