Oak Hill Defeats St Joseph Irish, 68-55; Oak Hill Ladies Win Too
Oak Hill slowed the game down and got what they wanted with a foul from Huntington St. Oak Hill made the foul shots and from that point everything seemed to go Oak Hill's way.
Huntington St. Joe senior basketball players were recognized between the games. St. Joe wrestlers were recognized along with senior members from the Huntington Prep Academy basketball team.
Huntington St. Joe senior basketball player Sara Sang was recognized by McDonald's for her fine basketball talents as being one of the best basketball players.
The Huntington St. Joe Cheerleaders remembered Tolsia High School Cheerleader Brianna Brewer by wearing orange ribbons in their hair. Brianna a seventeen year old junior from Tolsia High School and a cheerleader had passed away earlier in the week from an auto accident.
It might have been called Huntington St. Joe Day at Veteran's Memorial Field House with two basketball games and recognizing seniors between the game.
The Oak Hill boys basketball team made it a clean sweep on Saturday with their 68-55 win over Huntington St. Joe in the second game.
Huntington St. Joe fought from behind to take a 48-46 lead with about 6 minutes remaining in the game.
