APPY FEST FEATURES: Wake Up Early for “True Nature” Chills on Saturday

HUNTINGTON, WV (HNN) – Get set for the yearly Huntington, WV indie movie explosion as the Appalachian Film Festival hosts two days of features and documentaries at the Keith Albee Performing Arts Center.

Aside from the non-competing features, a nice scary horror flick, TRUE NATURE, blends a little reality with the supernatural. It’s been shown at horror fests all over the world, so this one should freeze your corpuscles.

True Nature has such accolades as the audience award at the Mile High Film Festival, winner of Best Thriller at Fargo Film Festival and Atlanta Horror Film Festival ,best feature at the Thriller Chiller festival, and official selection at Flimmer Film Festival (Norrkoping), Rhode Island, Louisville International, and the Freak Show Festival.

The Pascal family has it all - wealth, power, privilege - but their picture perfect lives change forever when their college-athlete daughter Marianne disappears one night while running. She mysteriously returns a year later with no recollection of where she’s been. Haunted by violent visions, she begins to suspect that her family is hiding dark secrets and that the key to her disappearance may be linked to them. As the fragile web of lies unravels, she fears that her own life and sanity may be the price for discovering the truth.
