Independent Christmas Movie Begins Shooting in Wheeling

The creative team behind the production of “Doughboy,” an independent film concerning patriotic lessons, have cast and have started  shooting their next production.  “Random Acts,” a family friendly Christmas movie, begins production Tuesday, March 6,  in Wheeling.

During the shoot scheduled through March 25, the producers seek extras and production assistants. It is being lensed under a SAG “ultra low budget” contract. The film , scripted by Ty (“Doughboy) DeMartino , has been described as “an uplifting drama that focuses on one family’s struggles to get their life back and the lesson learned through simple acts of kindness.”

J.W. Myers, who directed “Doughboy”,  returns to the director’s chair for “Random Acts.”

“Doughboy” has its WV premieres last summer at Marquee Cinema locations in Wheeling, Charleston, Huntington and Beckley.
