CRYSTAL RIVER, Fla.(HNN) – Marshall’s Allison Harper (Upper Arlington, Ohio) improved four strokes to shoot a team-low 73 in second round action of the University of Cincinnati Spring Invitational Saturday afternoon at the Plantation Inn Golf Resort and Spa.
  MU remains in sixth place following 36 holes of play, carding a 609 (302-307=609). 

Harper’s 150 (77-73=150) leads the Thundering Herd and puts the freshman in a tie for 15th place with 18 holes remaining.

Molly Ginger (Centerville, Ohio) carded a 77, while Samantha DiDomenico (Follansbee, W.Va.) shot a 78, as the two sit with two-day totals of 151.   

Rachel Thompson (Mansfield, Ohio) finished day two with a 79, bringing her 36 hole total to 157 (78-79=157).

Kaci Boyd (Ashland, Ky.) improved three strokes on Saturday, shooting an 82.

Morehead State sits at the head of the pack, with a 591 following Saturday’s action.  MSU holds a two stroke lead over North Texas with one round to go.

Florida Southern’s Marianne Andersson and Stetson’s Alex Buelow slipped into a two-way tie for first place.
