The indoor football game was a delight to the crowd of about 1,000 Hammer fans.
The home team defense held Johnstown ground yardage to 33 and the Hammer sacked the quarterback seven times. That set a record for the lowest offensive yardage gain for any UIFL team..
The Hammer held a 20-3 lead at the end of the first quarter. Johnstown made a run in the second quarter out scoring Huntington 13-12, making the score 32-16.
From that point the Hammer defense allowed no points and the offense scored 20 more points for the 52 16 victory. The 300 yards of offense and 52 points were both season highs for the Hammer.
