Volunteer for Cinco and Help Green Acres

The 2nd Green Acres Foundation Cinco de Mayo Celebration will be held on May 7th 2012 at American Legion Post 6pm-9pm. The theme of this years event theme will be "The Climb" Guest Speaker will be City Council Member and Mayor Candidate Steve Williams. Music will be by Huntington radio icon Jack O'Shea. Single tickets are $10 in advance $12 at the door and a table of 8 for $75.



Celebrity Waiters and Waitresses will be on hand using antics to collect tips to support the Green Acres Regional Center Foundation. Last year the Cinco de Mayo celebration raised over 3,500.00. This year the goal is $5000.00.

Last year The Herald Dispatch waiter/ waitress team of Dave Lavender and Beth Hendricks  took home a 6ft trophy for collecting nearly $1000.00. They will be defending their trophy this year. Uprising Country Music Singer Kala DeHart will be the Honorary Head Waitress. 

Being that it is a Political year and the fact that the event is the day before the election there are several teams that consist of Candidates.......These are the following teams thus far....Mayor candidate Steve Anderson and the committee to elect to Steve Anderson, The committee to elect Opal Sanders, The Herald Dispatch Team, and The Allie Smith Team. Two teams are still needed.
