HUNTINGTON, WV (HNN) - Cynthia Musser, a waste water supervisor for the Department of Environmental Protection, has told HNN that the sewage will continue to run into the Ohio for a few days.

Currently, she said that the Huntington Sanitary Board workers are doing the best they can under the circumstances.

On Friday , they found a valve that malfunctioned and have taken pumps to be dried out. Some work is going to to bypass the W. 13th Street station to try to get more sewage into the Waste Water Treatment  Plant.

Musser indicated that the high waters of the river will dilute the millions of tons of raw sewage, so drinking water for those up and down stream will remain acceptable for drinking.
