Greater Huntington Symphonic Band Concert May 27

The Greater Huntington Symphonic Band will present a free Memorial Day presentation concert Sunday, May 27 at 5 p.m. at the Riffe Center on the Ohio University Southern campus in Ironton (1804 Liberty Ave. Ironton, OH 45638.) Admission to concert is free. Bring lawn chairs and a picnic basket and enjoy the show.

The program will include, Elements, Young Person's Guide to John Williams, the Star Spangled Banner, Washington Greys March, Highlights From the Motion Picture “Star Trek”, Masque, Battle Pavanne, In A Persian Market, Oh Brother, Where Art Thou?, Someone to Watch Over Me, Mancini, The Slavic Womens Farewell March. Conducted by Tommy Thompson, the performance will feature Wendy Wilson, soprano, guest soloist and guest conductors, Tom Chafin, retired band director of Spring Valley High, and Nick Amis, retired director of Tolsia High.
