Car Crashes into Building

HUNTINGTON, WV (HNN) -  A hit and run Thursday afternoon April 21 before 5 p.m. left a building intact, a damaged vehicle, a passenger sent to the hospital and the driver arrested.

 Actually, the vehicle had damaged a parked vehicle in the 2200 block of Tenth Avenue, which set about an alert officer following the suspected white van.

Attempting to evade police, the driver lost control during the pursuit and slammed into the brick side of the Dayton Appliance Building.

The Huntington Police Department, Fire Department, and EMS all responded to the scene.

The name of the passenger and extent of injuries is not available. The charges filed against the driver are also unavailable.
