CHARLESTON, WV (HNN) - Who wears socks in this weather? The poster for the new Jennifer Garner movie, Odd Life of Timothy Green, has inspired a little unconditional love... in advance! Come winter, socks go on to help keep feet warm. And, some people do not have them in good condition.

The South Charleston Library, Marquee Cinemas Southridge and the Union Mission have joined for an early lesson in helping kids tell about kindness to others.

Marquee Southridge (Charleston) has set up a barrel for donations that will be in the lobby for about a week. Even though the poster has green socks, all colors are acceptable.

All of the socks collected will be donated to the Union Mission. They go to residents at Crossroads Men's Shelter and the Brookside Shelter for Women and Children.
