Chapmanville No Hits Wayne to Advance to State Tournament

Chapmanville ranked number two in the state had junior Allison Evans on the mound. Pitching for Wayne was Jessie Rowe. Both pitchers performed well.
Evans pitched a no hitter for nine innings in the shut out. With the game still tied 0-0, Chapmanville the two time defending state champions, batted home runner Savanna Vance in in the ninth inning for the 1-0 win.
Wayne ranked sixth in the state finished the season 19-7. Wayne which will lose one senior from the team is expected to be strong again next year.
