Grim Charles Plays from Debut Album at Shamrocks

HUNTINGTON, WV (HNN) – Described as horrifying acoustic folk-rock goodness in the key of blood, Grim Charles will play selections from his debut album tonight, Friday, May 20, at Shamrocks, 2050 Third Avenue, beginning at 10 p.m.

Copies of the album, “Wild Hearts of Coffee Black” are available on ITunes, CDBaby, or Amazon.

Eric Ramsden, a freelance journalist has written, "The stories from the mind of Grim are served up in a way that forces the listener to reconsider the commonly-held notions of what horror sounds like. In doing so, he proves the dark can be brought to light not with over-the-top shredding guitars and faster-than-light drums, but with a man and an acoustic guitar. By strapping horror into a vehicle that is pleasing to the ear, Grim turns the run-of-the-mill into the unique."
