“The Fraternal Order of Police Gold Star Lodge 65 Political Action Committee is proud to release its 2012 political endorsements”.  The PAC committee hosted a night Meet the Candidates on September 26th where candidates for contested city offices were interviewed.  The PAC then presented its recommendations to the full lodge on Tuesday, October 2, 2012 for approval.

Our most notable endorsement is in the Huntington mayoral race.  Gold Star Lodge 65 PAC voted to endorse Councilman Steve Williams.  Our decision was based on Councilman Williams’ expertise in the financial field, legislative experience and understanding of economic development. These attributes make Councilman Williams the best choice to lead Huntington through these trying economic times and towards a prosperous future.
