Special Santa- The Huntington Mall

This event will be held at Santa’s living room in Center Court beginning November 17 and each Saturday following (with the exception of November 24) from 9:00am-10:00am leading up to Christmas.  Special Santa is geared towards families with children with special needs.  Eliminating the busy mall environment and providing a more calm experience will help families continue the tradition of visiting Santa. There will be a “Sensory Friendly Waiting Area” to provide a calm environment for the children until their turn to visit with Santa, open on Saturdays from 8:30-Noon, providing activities geared towards children with sensory disabilities (ie: bean bags, activity center with puzzles, coloring books, etc., bead curtains to name a few).  In addition, there will be a “Family Fun Night” in the Community Room for families with special needs Thursday December 20 from 6:00-8:00, where a Christmas movie will be shown and gluten-free snacks will be provided, as well as a craft corner to create their own Christmas ornament and a train ride on the ‘All Smiles Aboard’ train in the mall.

Photos and a special gift will be provided to participants.
