LeGrande Named to Conference USA All-Academic Team

LeGrande, who carries a 3.50 GPA in graduate school in adult and technical education, amassed 132 tackles this season (69 solo), the sixth-highest total nationally (second in C-USA) and the most among defensive backs. The Staten Island, N.Y., native had eight double-digit tackle performances this season, including 16 against league-leading Tulsa. LeGrande was one of 11 MU players named to Phil Steele’s midseason all-conference team. He started every game this season and also had a forced fumble, two interceptions(tied for team lead) and five pass breakups.
The league releases its all-conference, all-freshman (Tuesday) and specialty awards (Wednesday) next week.
