HUNTINGTON, WV (HNN) – A public meeting regarding developing a Fourpole Creek watershed will be held Thursday, Jan 20 at 6 p.m in Huntington City Council Chambers. . Dustin Johnson,, Western Basin Coordinator for the W.Va. Division of Environmental Protection Division of Water and Waste made the announcement  Tuesday, Jan 4.

According to the news release, the meeting will be the “beginning of a local watershed group.” Proposed topics include defining the group’s mission, identifying goals, and determining an organizational structure.


“There will also be ample time to discuss specific issues concerning Fourpole Creek,” Johnson said in the prepared release.


Establishing a watershed group will help attract grant funding for creek related green infrastructure projects.
