Bavarian Inn, Stonewall Resort Earn AAA Four Diamond Awards
The Four Diamond Award signifies Bavarian Inn has a variety of luxury facilities and premium services. The guest rooms are well-designed and well-decorated, with superior furnishings and personal amenities. The retreat also has an impressive array of guest services well executed by experienced, professional personnel, Lehman explained.
The inn is set in a picturesque location overlooking the Potomac River in a historic town. Each room features custom made furniture and accent pieces. Most have gas fireplaces, whirlpool baths, sitting areas and balconies.
The Dining Room at the Bavarian Inn has received the AAA Four Diamond Award annually since 2001. The restaurant features fine German and continental cuisine with the areas largest German beer selection and an award winning wine list. The restaurant is famous among local diners for its lump crab cakes, as well as Sauerbrauten and Jaegerschnitzle.
Nestled along the shores of Stonewall Jackson Lake, Stonewall Resort overlooks lush natural surroundings from well-appointed accommodations. Guests enjoy stunning views of the lake, Arnold Palmer Signature golf course, or breathtaking woodlands.
Spanning 2,000 acres of property surrounding a state park, the resort offers numerous recreational choices including swimming, biking, hiking and a world class spa.
“Four and Five Diamond hotels and restaurants are committed to providing every guest with a personalized experience and attentive service in comfortable, high quality surroundings,” said Lehman. “These establishments consistently exceed the expectations of the most discriminating traveler – the AAA inspector,” he added.
Bavarian Inn, Stonewall Resort and the Bavarian Inn Dining Room join a select group of Four-Diamond winners. Just 3.9 percent of the 59,000 AAA Diamond Rated lodging facilities and restaurants were awarded AAA Four Diamond designation for the past twelve months. The total of 2,289 recipients included 1,535 hotels and 754 restaurants.
Collectively visiting some 1,200 hotels and restaurants every week, AAA inspectors are in a unique position to identify emerging trends in the hospitality industry. Inspectors have observed hotels and restaurants using increasingly personalized approaches to enhance guest comfort and satisfaction.
Experienced, highly qualified staff are required to provide the custom service today’s upscale hotel guest expects. Larger hotels, faced with the difficulties of responding to individual needs, often restructure their approach. Many use the immediacy of social media to augment the experience as travelers research, book and talk about their stay.
