DEVOTION: Protected

by Beth Bondurant
Various means of protection are used when one is doing any type of job or engaged in most daily activities whether they be for work
or play.

We are constantly considering how we can be protected both inside and outside... together and apart... during any time of day or night..with every means known.

With modern technology it is possible to convey our need of protection from almost every corner of the world.

Not by might nor by power, but by God's Spirit."

Life is a risk.

No matter what time... what place... what activity... danger lingers close by.

As the skies blacken with numerous clouds that threatened to come down in menacing jeopardy... how does one protect against such overwhelming insecurity.

Not by might nor by power, but by God's Spirit."

O God, our health and well being seem to be in peril so much of the time.  We hear warnings and predictions... troubles and adversity.... calamity and misfortune via most every wave link available.

Our world...our country... our state... our community... our church... our family seem to have worries and tribulation with every prospect of the day.

Not by might nor by power, but by God's Spirit."

Thank you, Lord, for your Spirit of peace and hope that dwells within our heart, mind, body and spirit.  When fear floods my soul, I know you are with me.  When danger seems to engulf my world, your Presence stills my heart.  When blackness removes the light of love, I remember and recall your promises.  When nothing can be done, your Spirit prevails. Thank you, Lord! For whatever may come, I know I am always protected.
