CHARLESTON, WV (HNN) - On January 12, 2011, the first day of the legislative session, all WV tea party groups will unite to greet newly elected officials and send a message to the legislators that the movement is here, is informed, and will hold them accountable for their words, their promises, and their actions.

Kandi Montini, leader of the Blue Ridge Patriots in Berkeley County, will drive six hours to Charleston .

She said, “If I’m starting a new job, my employer is sure to be there on my starting day.  That’s exactly what the movement wants to do for its legislators.  They work for We the People of West Virginia.  We want to welcome them and be sure they understand what we expect of them.  That’s what a good employer should do.”

Following the 11 a.m.-12 p.m. rally, there will be protests from 2-4 p.m. at the offices of Sen. Joe Manchin and Sen. Jay Rockefeller’s Charleston offices.

Jenny Beth Martin, Aaron Kidd, Jonathan Miller, Eric Householder, and James Madison are confirmed speakers.

The group is awaiting a “pending confirmation” from John Raese, WV businessman and former candidate for Senate.
