Huntington City Council Agenda

The agenda for the Monday, March 11, meeting of Huntington City Council has been announced. Council meets at 7:30 p.m. in Council Chambers at Huntington City Hall. Two second readings relate to stormwater Erosion/Sediment control and the Municipal Occupation tax repeal, which is still the subject of settlement negotiations. During the work session, Mayor Steve Williams suggested an executive session may be held to brief council members on the negotiation status.

6.  2nd Reading of an Ordinance re:  An Ordinance of Council Amending, Modifying and Re-Enacting Article 970 of the Codified Ordinances of the City of Huntington, as revised, regarding Erosion and Sediment Control

7.  2nd Reading of an Ordinance re:  AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF HUNTINGTON COUNCIL AMENDING, MODIFYING AND RE-ENACTING ARTICLE 774 OF THE CODIFIED ORDINANCES OF THE CITY OF HUNTINGTON, AS REVISED, CONCERNING MUNICIPAL OCCUPATION TAX

8.   1st Reading of an Ordinance re:  An Ordinance of Council Amending, Modifying and Re-Enacting Article 534 of the Codified Ordinances of the City of Huntington, as revised, regarding Junk Storage (following committee referral) The ordinance prohibits storing upholstered furniture, mattresses and any other products not intended for outdoor use on the front porch. It carries a fine and possible jail time.

9.  1st Reading of an Ordinance re:  An Ordinance to Amend the Zoning Ordinance of the City of Huntington, West Virginia, 1998, and the Zone Map Attached Thereto as a Part Thereof by Zoning to C-1 Neighborhood Commercial District from R-4 Residence District the property located at 19 7th Avenue West, Cabell County Tax Map 43, Parcel 614, lot numbers 45, 46, 47 & 48 . Kroger plans to add a fueling station to its lot, if passed.

11.  Resolution re:  A Supplemental Resolution Providing Parameters as to the Principal Amount, Date, Maturity Date, Interest Rate, Interest and Principal Payment Dates and Other Terms of the Sewer Refunding Revenue Bonds, Series 2013 A of the City of Huntington; Authorizing and Approving the Sale and Delivery of such Bonds; Approving the Form of Certificate of Determinations; and Making Other Provisions as to the Bonds
