My Brother's Keeper Schedules March Madness Health Event

March is Colorectal Cancer awareness month. According to the American Society there will be an estimated 1,180 West Virginians diagnosed with colorectal cancer and 440 deaths.  There is a nationwide call for action to spread the word about this potentially deadly but when detected early, highly treatable disease. My Brother’s Keeper of Ebenezer Medical Outreach Inc. is answering that call with the 6th Annual March Madness event on Thursday March 28th, 5:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. at the Marie Redd Senior Life Enrichment Center, 1750 9th Avenue in Huntington.
There will be information packets, and light refreshments. Dr. Charles Turner with the Huntington Internal Medicine Group (HIMG) and Dr. Gerald McKinney, Marshall Health has been invited to talk about colon cancer.
