HMA to Open L.H. Stone Photo Collection June 25

Updated 1 year ago Edited from a Press Release

On Tuesday, June 25th at 7:15 pm, John Witek will hold a gallery talk at the Huntington Museum of Art. He will speak about the old Huntington photos that he found at a local flea market.

These photos were taken by L.H. Stone from about 1912 to 1950. They are historically interesting, because they show us a Huntington we have never seen before, but they are also artistically interesting. Stone had a wonderful “eye”, and was able to capture his subjects in unique compositions.

Please join us on June 25th at 7:15, as Witek will walk through the current exhibition at the Museum and talk about these photos. Refreshments will follow.
