Boil Water Advisory Lifted for Parts of Huntington

Huntington, W.Va. (June 22, 2013) – West Virginia American Water has lifted a precautionary boil water advisory for approximately 100 customers for the affected areas, 10th Street from 8th Avenue to 10th Avenue, 9th Avenue from 8th Street to 11th Street, and 8th Avenue from 9th Street to 10th Street. The advisory was issued on June 19, 2013 due to a valve replacement project by West Virginia American Water.


Results of water quality testing have confirmed that water quality meets drinking water standards. Therefore, there is no further need to boil water prior to consumption. Customers will be notified via media.
