Mayor Celebrates Impossible Dream Birthday

The lyrics state, "to dream the impossible dream...."

Huntington Mayor Steve Williams celebrated his birthday over the past weekend. Although the Mayor has much of which to give thanks, he especially cherished what he wrote as "the best birthday present", which occurred during a private sing-a-long.

When his wife (Mary Poindexter Williams ) and mom began singing "Happy Birthday", his dad --- who has not spoken in a full sentence since October --- joined in the song.

His birthday had already been "beyond fabulous". One of the gifts came from his office staff ---- a statue of Don Quixote and Sancho.

Williams and Huntington over that period received a few economic development gifts, too, as Chipotle Mexican Grill filed to open a restaurant on Fifth Avenue, Med Express announced an expansion to First Street, The Tap House prepares for a mid-August Heritage Station opening, Bow Love opened at 905 Fourth Avenue, and, later, in August, the Big Sandy Superstore Arena hosts a Business Resource Summit, Aug . 21 from 9 a.m.-2 p.m. sponsored by Unlimited Futures.
