Huntington Man Charged with Wanton Endangerment after Gunshot Fired Near Enterprise Rent a Car

A Huntington man has been charged with wanton endangerment after a gun was fired following an altercation at Enterprise Rental in the 2400 block of Third Avenue at about 8:06 a.m. Thursday, Sept. 12.

According to a press release from Lt. John Williams, "He got into an altercation with one of the agents, at which time he became angry and walked outside to the parking area and fired a handgun into the air".

Clay Timothy Slash, 56, then walked west in the middle of 3rd Ave. towards Turnpike Ford, yelled at several employees there before Huntington Police Department units arrived and arrested him without further incident.

Slash (56) was transported to HPD for processing. He will be charged with Wanton Endangerment (Felony) in relation to this incident. A small caliber handgun was recovered at the scene of arrest, the release said.
