HUNTINGTON, WV (HNN) – The Finance and Planning/Zoning Committees of Huntington City Council meet Thursday afternoon, Jan. 13.

The Finance Committee meets at 6:30 p.m. The agenda includes a presentation from Honeywell on Energy Savings and a proposed contract with the city. At the council meeting Jan. 10, the administration described this as a win/win, since no expenditures are made unless the company can pinpoint specific savings areas.

In addition, the committee will discuss modifications to the purchasing protocol which modifies purchasing notification procedures to council members.

Following the Finance Committee meeting, the Zoning/Planning committee meets. It’s agenda includes:

· AN ORDINANCE OF COUNCIL AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR TO ENTER INTO AN EASEMENT AGREEMENT WITH THE GENERAL SERVICES ADMINISTRATION

· AN ORDINANCE AMENDING THE ZONING ORDINANCES OF THE CITY OF HUNTINGTON RELATING TO ARTICLE 1315 – DEFINITIONS

· AN ORDINANCE AMENDING THE ZONING ORDINANCES OF THE CITY OF HUNTINGTON RELATING TO ARTICLE 1325 – R-5 RESIDENCE DISTRICT

· AN ORDINANCE AMENDING THE ZONING ORDINANCES OF THE CITY OF HUNTINGTON RELATING TO ARTICLE 1341 – GENERAL REGULATIONS

 

Both meetings occur in City Council chambers.
