Updated 15 weeks ago From Press Release

An armed robbery occurred at Baskin Robbins, Hal Greer and Washington Blvd., Friday night at 6:53 p.m. A man entered the score and pulled a pistol, according to employees. After the employees removed the cash drawer, the suspect described as a white male, six foot tall,  200 pounds and possibly in his 20s, took several bills.

A bystander in the store’s lobby attempted to push the suspect out of the store but the man resisted and walked to the rear of the store searching for additional cash. He then fled west on foot.

Huntington Police officers arrived three minutes after the call. They set up a perimeter and a canine tracked the suspect to a block west, indicating that a vehicle was used for his escape, stated Lt. John Williams in a press release.

No injuries were reported. The suspect was wearing a black leather jacket, jeans, gray hooded jacket under the outside jacket and a black watch cap. During the robbery he had a shirt pulled over his lower face.

Anyone with  information is asked to call 304-696-4444.  The  store had security cameras, but footage is not available at this time.
