Six Huntington Sanitary Board Purchases on Council Agenda

Huntington City Council has multiple six second  readings on its agenda that  pertain to the Huntington Sanitary Board  repairs and upgrades. All expenditures are within the Board's approved budget, Executive Director Lou Akers, Jr. told the council work session.

A $147,768 contract would repair Grit Tanks which is the first treatment undergone by sewage entering the plant, Akers said.

This contract would be awarded to Environmental Resources, Inc. of Pewaulkee, Wis. and includes a ten year warranty. Motion Industries of Huntington placed a bid for $107,595.84, but a memo explains that the local bid did not meet contract specifications nor did it come with a ten year warranty. With the exception of software purchases, PDF's of the remaining three HSB ordinances are downloaded as a PDF  attachment.
