Finance Meeting will Follow Monday's Special Call

HUNTINGTON, WV (HNN) - Following the Monday, August 29, Special Call Council meeting, there will be a meeting of council's Finance Committee. The Special Call will consider the approval of the paving schedule. The agenda includes the first reading of an ordinance for an independent assessment of the Huntington Fire Department.

According to the Finance Committee agenda, provided by chairman Steve Williams, the following items will be discussed:

  • AN ORDINANCE OF COUNCIL AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR TO ENTER INTO A CONTRACT TO FURNISH THE HUNTINGTON FIRE DEPARTMENT WITH FIREFIGHTER SURVIVAL EQUIPMENT
  • AN ORDINANCE OF COUNCIL AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR TO ENTER INTO A CONTRACT TO FURNISH THE HUNTINGTON FIRE DEPARTMENT WITH THREE (3) NEW SELF-CONTAINED BREATHING APPARATUS
  • AN ORDINANCE OF COUNCIL AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR TO ENTER INTO A CONTRACT TO FURNISH LABOR, MATERIALS AND EQUIPMENT FOR THE ENSLOW BOULEVARD STORM LINE REPLACEMENT PROJECT
  • AN ORDINANCE OF COUNCIL AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR TO ENTER INTO A CONTRACT TO FURNISH LABOR, MATERIALS AND EQUIPMENT FOR THE REROUTING OF AN EXISTING EIGHTEEN INCH (18”) STORM LINE THAT RUNS ALONG THE HILLSIDE SOUTH OF WEST WHITAKER BOULEVARD
  • AN ORDINANCE OF COUNCIL AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR TO ENTER INTO A CONTRACT TO FURNISH LABOR, MATERIALS AND EQUIPMENT FOR THE RITCHIE DRIVE STORM LINE REPLACEMENT PROJECT
  • OTHER ITEMS AS NECESSARY

 

The meetings begin at 5:30 p.m. They are televised on Comcast Channel 24.
