Monroe Avenue Shooting Victim Dies

Raymond Eugene Thomas , 24,  of Detroit ,  the victim of an April 6, shooting in the 1700 block of Monroe Avenue has died of a gunshot wound to the head.   A murder warrant has been signed naming suspect, Anthony J. Gaston, 22,  also from Detroit. Gaston remains in the Western Regional Jail.

The shooting involved vehicles stopped at an empty lot between Monroe Avenue and South Alley.      The suspect got out and the vehicle fled. During an argument with two occupants of a black Chevrolet Malibu, the man charged pulled a rifle and fired. The female driver returned first with a handgun and fled. The female was also arrested by HPD.
