Updated 5 years ago by Tony E. Rutherford, News Editor
HNN has obtained "new" documents concerning the removal of the Huntington Pilot Plant (Reduction Pilot Plant), which opened in 1951 and provided classified nickel and nickel carbonyl to nuclear fuel cycle components of two gaseous diffusion plants. Recycled Uranium 235 an Uranium 238 were present. The documents are under analysis and have been obtained from the Department of Energy/Nuclear Regulatory Commission, concerning the demolition of the plant and radiological survey thereafter.
