Watching the sunrise above the clouds is a beautiful experience.  The sky becomes an array of dissimulated color .. and somehow one can be engulfed in serenity.

Yet when one has opened the day ....high in the sky.... with the brilliance of the sun... one hopes the entire day will unfold in majesty and beauty throughout.

"The people who sat in darkness have seen a great light, and for those who sat in the region and shadow of darkness.... light has dawned."

Expectation to start the day soaring through the clouds to a quick destination can result in numerous airline delays and cancellations  finding one's arrival to be... when the sun is quietly setting.

Life isn't always as we plan.

Thankfully, when it isn't a matter of life or death... sickness or trauma.... snoring through the clouds can be almost comical.

Airline experiences nowadays seem to be a new way of life.

What we used to anticipate as "friendly skies"... seem too often unwelcome and just down right unneighborly.

Persons waiting for hours for any type of communication from airline employees find that family living miles away ... are the ones notified of flights being canceled... long before those sitting at "the gate" are informed.

When word eventually trickles down that one can no longer depend on using the boarding pass in hand... it is a race to find the closest long line of numerous displaced passengers seeking any type of help as to how they might arrive at their intended destination.

"Stand by" means their is not a very likely possibility of making the next flight.... some three hours later.... but there is no alternative but to try.

After a days journey walking from one end of the airport to another... it is good to find out that a glimmer of hope materializes in having a seat on the last plane out to where one wants to be.

Packing in together ... the comforting flight attendant reassures weary passengers by surly announcing..."Someone has to move in these first four seats... or we will never get the nose of this plane off the ground."

"Change your life. God's kingdom is here."
O God... life isn't always the way we plan.  Help us to live in the light of your presence and keep on keeping on when our feet seem to trudge through the day... unsure of what path to take and finding ourselves "lost in discombobulated circumstances... beyond our control".  Your light and love are in every sunrise... and sunset... in every nook and cranny of each and every moment... but the noise of unintelligible commands keep us wondering and waiting for a glimmer of direction.  Hold us... help us... guide and comfort us when our life seems to be snoring through the clouds.
